The YMCA Newcomer Information Centre (NIC) is a welcoming place for immigrants starting their new lives in Canada. We provide access to vital information and referral services to support more than 11,000 newcomers in Ottawa each year. There is no cost to participate.

Our team of trained information specialists speak various languages and ensure that newcomers receive the most up-to-date and relevant information.
