Join the YMCA for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation -Reconciling History Tours - Downtown Ottawa 2026. In collaboration with the Assembly of Seven Generations (A7G), Indigenous guides will lead a 2 km walking tour exploring Indigenous histories, experiences, and ongoing injustices.

About the event
The YMCA invites you to take part in our Truth and Reconciliation Day event on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at noon.
Join us for a day of reflection, learning and reconciliation with a guided 2 km walking tour, led by Indigenous tour guides in collaboration with Assembly of Seven Generations (A7G). Along the way, participants will learn about Indigenous histories and experiences while gaining a deeper understanding of the ongoing injustices faced by Indigenous Peoples.
This event is an opportunity to listen, learn and reflect while engaging with Indigenous perspectives and deepening your understanding of Indigenous experiences in Canada.
